On Sept. 3 at approximately 3 p.m. a collision occurred at the intersection of County Rds. 16 and 19 in Grey Twp. According to police a 1988 Ford Ranger pickup was northbound on County Rd. 19 and stopped at the intersection. Police say the pickup, driven by Anthony Roden, 22, of Brussels pulled out into the intersection and was struck on the driver's side by an eastbound 1989 Freightliner truck, driven by Brian Housser, 36, of RR 3, Brussels. The pickup ended up in the north ditch while the tractor trailer unit jackknifed and slid through the intersection coming to rest on the edge of the roadway. Grey Twp. Fire Department assisted at the scene. Both drivers received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Listowel Hospital by ambulance.
