The Epistle lesson was taken
from Hebrews 11: 29, 12-2 and the
gospel reading from Luke 12: 49-
56.
The sermon was based on
"Saints". One who falls down,
accepts and is willing to go on
again.
John Nixon and Don Procter took
up the offering. Sandra Dorsch was
in charge of nursery.
Alison Miculan, daughter of Rev.
and Mrs. John Roberts, recently
returned from Boston, Mass. where
she had been invited to speak on
"Ethics and Reality" at the World
Congress of Philosophy. She was
also a member of a panel dealing
with philosophical issues.
The Miculan family later spent
time sightseeing in the Boston and
Salem areas.
Ron Taylor of St. John's spent
three weeks with his parents, Jack
and Mary Taylor and also visited
other family members and
relatives.
Garner and Alice Nicholson were
recent visitors with Ron and Lynda
Nicholson at their cottage at Lion's
Head.
Ashley Irwin recently spent a
weekend with her grandmother
Betty Irwin.
Sympathy is extended from the
community to Agnes McBurney
and family in the recent passing of
Gordon McBurney. May thoughts
