Sun shines for outdoor celebration Brussels
Milestone
It was a perfect day for the open house held at the
Jamestown home of Glenn and Elizabeth McKercher on
Saturday. The occasion was to celebrate the couple's
golden anniversary.
Brussels councillors instructed
Clerk-Treasurer Donna White, at
the Aug. 4 meeting, to send a letter
to the county indicating that Brus-
sels preferred Map A, the two-
tiered, six municipality choice.
Brussels would be grouped with
Morris, Grey and Howick Twps. as
well as Blyth.
A letter from Blyth was circulat-
ed which said council had chosen
Map B, two-tiered with three
municipalities.
Exeter had sent a letter to the
county asking that taxpayer money
not be wasted studying a one-tier
system. The county had recom-
mended studying one and two-tier
systems to allow comparisons.

A motion was passed authorizing
Barmy Tech to make a village flag
