LOUGHEED - VAN EEDEN PETERSMAN Gregory Warren Lougheed and Petra Marleen van Eeden Petersman were joined in marriage May 23, 1998 in the Blyth Christian Reformed Church_ Elda and Warren Lougheed of CLARK - DUIZER Tom and Marjorie Duizer along with Jim and Mabel Clark are thrilled to announce the marriage of their children, Shannon and Mike. The wedding took place on June 13 at Londesboro United Church with Rev. Paul Ross performing the ceremony. The matron of honor was Lori Patterson, friend of the bride, along with bridesmaids Annette Vincent and Kelly Bosman, both friends of the bride, Laurel Mitchell, sister of Owen Sound received a daughter while John and Genie van Eeden Petersman of Auburn received a son. After a short holiday in the Muskoka's Greg and Marleen continue their married lives in Owen Sound. the bride, Angela Hunking, cousin of the bride, and flowergirl Jessica Duizer, niece of the bride. The best man was Bob Jamieson, friend of the groom. Ushers were Steve Duizer, brother of the bride, Todd MacDonald, Jamie MacDonald and Elvis Vincent, all friends of the groom, and ringbearer Tyler Mitchell, nephew of the bride. The happy couple honeymooned in Las Vegas and are now residing in Londesboro. Theft in Grey On Monday morning, July 20 at approximately 7 a.m. a theft was found at a work site in Grey Twp. just east of Brussels. Police said that sometime over the weekend a trailer with portable welder and tools valued at $15,000 was stolen. The victim, Listowel's Millwrights, chained a 8' x 4' x 5' trailer with Ontario marker #S85- 633 to a steel grate. Thieves cut the chain removing the trailer along with a portable Miller Bobcat welder model 225690337 bearing serial number KG115426. Tools on the trailer had paint markings in black or red paint sprayed on them while others had the initials JB. Anyone who has any knowledge of this occurrence is asked to call the Huron OPP Detachment or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. The Cranbrook Cemetery board has determined that many of the gravestones need new foundations. This will be a costly project. Six Mile Lake is located in the rocky, tree-covered area of Ontario north of Barrie. Water skiing and motor boating proved entertaining to all. Raymond Henning of Kitchener and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Henning of Turnberry renewed their acquaintances last week with former neighbour, Olive Bolt of Belgrave. The Belgrave Seniors and friends enjoyed a bus trip to Jackson's Point in Lake Simcoe and saw Anne of Green Gables. The Van Camp Camay reunion was held at the Belgrave Arena on Sunday, July 19. Forty-five people were present from Owen Sound, Glencoe, Guelph and the Brussels areas. Glen Van Camp's family were in charge of it. Diane, Gary, Dana and Shane Zevenbergen looked after the games. A delicious smorgasbord supper was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Bernice Davies, Owen Sound visited with Mabel Wheeler and attended the Blyth Theatre for the opening of Hot Flashes.
