The Auburn community regrets
the recent death of Mrs. Gordon
Dobie of Clinton. The Dobie's were
Auburn residents for years until
moving to Clinton. Son Ross and
family are still with us.
Gordon and Beth were active
members of the Silver Tops and
Beth also attended the Bible Study
group when possible while still in
Auburn.
The district extends sincerest
sympathy to Ross, Gail and family.
On Saturday, July 11 to celebrate
the 40th birthday of Helen Lapp a
pork barbecue was held at Keith
Lapp's farm.
Mr. A. Van Massen Hoven was
the chef. The meat was delicious.
Tables had been set up in the
drive shed. The buffet table
groaned with the assortment of
salads, casseroles and drinks.
Beautiful birthday cake was served
to close the dinner. Happy Birthday
was sung. Helen was wished many
more years of happiness.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Archambault
have returned from their second
honeymoon. They were married 50
years ago. A dance was held in
Blyth before they left for this
special trip.
Robert Archambault, son of Rick
and Shirley Archambault will carry
tablets from now on.
He was stung by a bee and
fortunately taken to emergency as
quickly as possible. He's a lucky
boy and we sincerely hope that he
never needs to use the medication.
Mrs. Jennifer Grange and sons
Elliott and Oliver spent the past
week with her mother Mrs.
Dorothy Grange and her sister Mrs.
R. Worsen and family.
On Saturday, July 11 they all
went to London for a celebration
for Kescia and Kristen Singh recent
university graduates.
Mrs. Grange and family have
since returned to their home in
Toronto.
On Saturday, July 18, more than
45 provincial parks across Ontario

part in the Savanna Festival
celebrations at Pinery.

underway at 12:30 p.m. from the
canoe docks. The main events for
