ROY AUDREY TEEFT
Roy Audrey Teeft of 543
Alexander St., Brussels, formerly
of Dunnville, passed away at his
residence, June 26, 1998. He was
79.
He was born in Caistor Twp.,
Lincoln County, Feb. 4, 1919, to
Ernest N. Teeft and the former
Delia Merritt.
After working in the automotive
business for 45 years, he retired in
1984. He was also a member of the
United Church.
Mr. Teeft leaves his beloved
wife, Jean (Culbert), whom he wed
Oct. 10, 1942, in Canfield, his lov-
ing children Mary Jane Fisher and
her husband, Paul, of Free1ton and
Allan and his wife, Marjorie, of
Brussels and loved grandchildren
Michael and Matthew Fisher and
Tricia and Megan Teeft.
He is survived by sisters-in-law
Shirley Brooks and her husband,
Gordon, of Lucknow, Beatrice Will
and her husband, Gordon, of Brant-
ford and Lillian Teeft of Dunnville.
Mr. Teeft was predeceased by his
parents, sister Evelyn Parr of Bed-
ford, Ohio, and brother Maurice
Teeft of Dunnville.
The funeral service was held at
MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral
Home, Lucknow, June 29, at 11:30
a.m. Rev. P. Kinsmen officiated.
Flowerbearers were Matthew
Fisher, Tricia Teeft and Megan
Teeft.
Pallbearers were Gordon Brooks,
Paul Fisher, Don Savage, Michael
Fisher, Jim Dickson and Donald
Brooks.
Interment was at Greenhill
Cemetery.
RAE CRAWFORD
Mr. Rae Crawford of Brussels
passed away at Wingham and
District Hospital on Sunday, June
28, 1998. He was in his 94th year.
Born in Nelson, BC on June 20,
1905 Mr. Crawford was the son of
the late David and Anne Crawford.
He will be sadly missed by his
loving wife Marguerite. Mr.
Crawford will also be remembered
by his brother-in-law Clayton
Davidson of Wiarton and by his
many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Crawford was predeceased
by his biother Alvin Crawford and
by his sisters Clara Pryce and Islay
Davidson.
Friends were received on
Monday evening at the Betts
Funeral Home, Brussels. A joint
Oddfellow-Rebekah service was
conducted by Western Star
Oddfellow Lodge No. 149 and
Morning Star Rebekah Lodge No.
315 following the visitation.
The funeral service was
conducted in the chapel on
Tuesday, June 30 at 2 p.m. with
Reverend Nancy Beal of St. John's
Anglican Church officiating.
Interment in Brussels Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy
memorial donations may be made
to St. John's Anglican Church.
JAMES BLAKE EDGAR
Mr. James Blake Edgar of
Teeswater passed away at
Wingham and District Hospital on
Saturday, June 27, 1998. He was in
his 60th year.
Born June 12, 1939 in Brussels,
Mr. Edgar was the son of the late
Murdie and Winnifred Edgar. -
He will be sadly missed by his
children Shelley Martin and her
husband Lawrence of Listowel and
Dwayne Edgar of Red Deer, AB.
He was the dear brother of John
Edgar and his wife Lola of Wasaga
Beach and Don Edgar and his wife
Mary of Chesley Lake. He also
leaves his grandchildren Aleshia,
Brett and Justin.
He was predeceased by his
brother Bruce Edgar.
Friends were received on
Tuesday evening at the Betts
Funeral Home, Brussels, where the
funeral service was conducted in
the chapel on Wednesday, July 1 at
2 p.m. with Rev. Brad Morrison
officiating.
Pallbearers -were Murray Lowe,
Jack McCutcheon, Stan Berfelz,
Jim Mair, Jason Mair and Bevan
Brown.
Flowerbearers were grand-
children Aleshia and Brett Martin
assisted by Lori Sargeant and Kelly
David.
Cremation with interment in
Brussels Cemetery.

DOROTHY M. DRISCOLL
Dorothy M. Driscoll passed away
at Seaforth Community Hospital on
Wednesday, July 1, 1998. She was
84.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Ross Driscoll who predeceased
her in 1994 and dear mother of
John Driscoll and wife Mary Lou
of McKillop Twp., Ron Driscoll
and wife Karen of Seaforth and
Barbara MacDonald and friend
William Ross of Brucefield. Mrs.
Driscoll will be fondly remembered
by six grandchildren, seven great-
grandchildren, and sisters, Anna
and husband Ralph McNichol and
Grace Smith, all of Seaforth.
Besides her husband, Dorothy
was predeceased by a son, Gordon
Driscoll, her parents, William and
Dora (Scott) Somerville, a sister,
Helen Kirkby, and two brothers,
Walter Somerville and Archie
Somerville.
Family received friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home,
Seaforth on Friday from 2 - 4 and
7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service was
held at the funeral home on
Saturday, July 4, 1998 at 2 p.m.
Rev. Nicholas Vandermey
officiated.
Interment Maitlandbank Ceme-
tery.
The eulogy was given by her
grandson, Scott Driscoll. Her
granddaughter Tammy Martene
composed and read a special poem.
Keith and Gloria Wilbee sang
Amazing Grace and His Eye is on
the Sparrow. Organist was Marian
Rose.
Pallbearers were Scott Driscoll,
Ben Driscoll, Ray McNichol, Paul
Somerville, Peter Martene and Len
Parker.
Flowerbearers were grand-
daughters, Tammy Martene, Shelly
Parker, Sharri Lynn MacDonald
and Tina Driscoll, and great-
grandson, Colin.

Plowright, born Oct. 30, 1907 at
Westfield, RR 3, Blyth to John
Wesley and Mable (Wightman)
Stackhouse, died Sunday, June 28,
1998 at Chateau Gardens Queens
Nursing Home, London.
She was the beloved wife of the
late T. Stanley Neale whom she
married July 1973 and Arthur
Plowright whom she married Nov.
1985.
She was the beloved mother of
Patrician (Neale) Walker and her
husband Allan Walker of Calgary,
AB and Ronald Neale and his wife
Joanne of Kitchener. She was also
loved by her grandchildren Michael
and David Munro, Patrick Walker,
Stephen, Corrie, Kyla and Jamie
Neale and her great-grandchildren
Leila, Jena and Davis Munro.
Friends were received by the
family July 1 at A. Millard George
Funeral Home, London. The
funeral was held July 2 at 11 a.m.
with burial in Baird's Cemetery,
Brucefield. Rev. David R.
Carrothers of Colborne United
Church officiated. Rev. Doreen
Canavan of Brucefield United
Church conducted a short graveside
service.
Refreshments were served in the
Brucefield United Church hall.
In lieu of flowers donations were
made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Ontario.
Aux. meets
The June 22 meeting of the
Auxiliary to the Wingham and
District Hospital was opened by the
President Helen Daugherty.
Rosemary LaRose, nurse co-
ordinator of the teen volunteers,
highlighted the sessions held at the
teen volunteer conference at
Seaforth. Attending along with
LaRose were two teen volunteers,
Melanie Carter and Julie Snow.
Verna Steffler of the Physicians
Recruitment Fundraising
Committee explained some of the
future plans for raising funds to
attract new physicians to Wingham
and area.
Marion MacKenzie reported that
a blood donor clinic will be held in
Wingham on Aug. 27.
Merla Frank, Shirley Kaufman,
Dianne Doolittle, Helen Daugherty
and Jean Whitby attended the
Spring Conference at the Festival
Inn, Stratford.
The fall meeting of the Auxiliary
will be held on Sept. 21 in the
hospital board room at 1:30 p.m.
The fall tea will be held in
Wingham at the home of Margaret
Mann on Monday, Sept. 14.
