THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 8, 1998. PAGE 17. 7Li Seaforth Public School •:i:E!12)• Graduation chance to look back and remember `We will face this change as an exciting challenge' By Jeremy Hildebrand Today marks the end of elementary school but it's just the beginning of our secondary education. We are leaving years of memories, teachers, and even friends behind us, but we are entering a new school, new teachers, and new friends. We take a look back today and remember all the good times and bad. In kindergarten half of us were here at Seaforth with Miss Pinkham and some were in Walton with Mrs. Vandendool. We all remember sleep time, of course, and those in Seaforth remember sitting in a bathtub full of pillows and reading stories.. In Grade I most people had Mrs. Carroll. Remember her guinea pigs? In Walton the majority had Mrs. Vandendool again and remember starting French and Math. In Grade 2 I'm sure we all remember the "Marshmallow" stories we were read each morning. Grade 3 in Seaforth was a unique year if you had Mr. Farnell who always had us making neat crafts. In Walton everyone had Mrs. Scott who was their favourite teacher. Grade 4 was a memorable year for us all. This was the year the Walton Public School kids came to Seaforth. Surprisingly, all the students got along. In Grade 5 we all had either Mrs. Griffin or Mr. Carter. In Mrs. Griffin's class you probably remember the school play on the environment and in Mr. Carter's class of course you remember hearing a lot of wild stories and his loud voice. If you had Mrs. Reynolds for Grade 6, I bet you remember all the times we got to help her run gym classes and all the extra gym periods we received. In Grade 7, I'm sure both classes (Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. van den Akker) remember the ski trip and our year-end trip to Sports World and the Skydome. In this fmal year of Grade 8, I'm sure we will always think back and remember our grad trip, our autobiographies, and of course, today. Now here we are on our graduation day. We are finished elementary school. This chapter of our lives is finished. Next year, we will begin a new chapter with a clean sheet, new authors, and a million possibilities. Thank you to our friends who helped us along the way and to all the class clowns who make school a little more entertaining. Thank you to our teachers especially Mrs. Hoelsher who prepared us and got us on the right track for high school. Farewell Seaforth Public and all your memories. We will keep them forever. Thank you and good luck to everyone. Continued from page 16 We will be greeted with new opportunities, and faced with new problems. We will face this change in our lives as an exciting challenge. Thanks to our teachers, we have learned that we have the strength and confidence to face the future. Just remember that wherever we go, and whatever we do, we will always have with us the memories of our years at Hullett.
