PAGE 19. 0 bituaries JAMES DAVID McCALL David McCall of Lambeth passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday, June 15, 1998. He was in his 53rd year. David was born in Toronto on July 14, 1945, the son of Effie and the late Jim McCall. He was predeceased by his father in 1993, and an infant sister in 1949. Left to mourn are his mother, Effie of Blyth, one sister Susan and her husband Ben Buffinga of Blyth, two nephews, Darwin and Duane and one niece, Sabrina of Blyth. Fondly thought of by Grace McCall, Bernice McClinchey and family. Friends and relatives were received at the MacFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home in Lambeth on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Rev. Greg Gilson officiated at the funeral service on Monday, June 22 at 1 p.m. Carrying floral tributes were Darwin, Sabrina and Duane Buffinga. Pallbearers were Bert Buffinga, George McClinchey, Al Rosa- mond, Bob Home, Dave Fenn and Jim Fenton. Interment was at Blyth Union Cemetery. NORMA HAMILTON Mrs. Norma Hamilton of Brus- sels, formerly of Atwood, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 1998, in her 74th year. She is survived by her husband, Douglas of Brussels and her family, Ron and his wife, Velma, of Atwood, Don and his wife, Myke, of Listowel, Bruce and his wife, Anna, of Brussels, eight grandchil- dren and seven great-grandchildren. She leaves two brothers Neil of Atwood and Paul of Galt. Mrs. Hamilton was predeceased by her sister, Helen, and her par- ents, Alex Thompson and the for- mer Mina Sangster. Visitation was held at Peebles Funeral Home, Atwood, Friday, June 19. Rev. Virginia Brand of Atwood Presbyterian Church officiated at the Saturday service. Interment was at Elma Centre cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Ten Pas, Bill D'Arcy, Greg David- son and four grandsons, Troy, Kent, Steven and Kevin Hamilton. Honorary flowerbearers were Julie Hamilton, Shauna Hamilton and granddaughters, Cindy Hamil- ton, Melinda TenPas, Lisa D'Arcy, Kelly Davidson Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family JOHN ALEXANDER PERRIE After a lengthy illness, John Alexander Perrie passed away in his 90th year, at the Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, Sunday, June 14, 1998. Born Jan. 18, 1909 in Grey Twp., he lived his entire life as a farmer on the 12th Concession of Grey. He was the younger son of James and Jessie (McNair) Perrie. He will be sadly missed by Clara (McCall) Perrie, his beloved wife of over 60 years. Mr. Perrie will be lovingly remembered by his children David and Joan Perrie of Walton, Jeanne Kirkby of Walton, John and Mary Perrie of Grey Twp., Will and Chi Perrie of Halifax, N.S., and Leslie Perrie of Grey Twp. He also leaves grandchildren Paul and Van Kirkby, Allan Perrie, Adam Perrie, Andrew Perrie, Maryanne Perrie, Margaret Perrie, Jessica Perrie, Jonathan Perrie, and one great- grandson Sean Kirkby. He was predeceased by his brother William Perrie, his daughter Margaret Thompson in 1970, granddaughter Jennifer Kirkby in 1973, and son-in-law Doug Kirkby in 1993. For 61 years, John Perrie was an elder of Knox Presbyterian Church in Cranbrook, following the example of his father James Perrie, who was also a life-long elder of that church. His children remember their father as an honest and devout man who considered humility to be a virtue. They also remember his love for all animals, especially border collies, Clydesdale horses and cattle; a man who worked hard, but always enjoyed visiting and talking with friends. Friends were received at the Betts Funeral Home, Brussels, where the funeral service was conducted in the chapel on Wednesday, June 17 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Lynn Nichol officiating. Pallbearers were Donald Clark, Charles Fischer, Don Fischer, Harvey Kitchen, Lloyd Weber and Emerson Mitchell. Flower bearers were grandchildren Paul and Van Kirkby. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations'may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church or to the charity of one's choice.
