History was made June 7 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church when it held its first
confirmation service. Previously, confirmations were conducted by the bishop, so all St.
Michael's confirmands went to Clinton. However, that changed and now the priest can do
the service. The first St. Michael's confirmation class is, back row, from left: Justin John
Rinn, Bradley Steven Schmidt, Father Dino Salvodor, Colleen Helena Van Camp, Gavin
Arnold Van Camp, Rebecca Adriana Van Camp, Elisha Teresa Courtney, Rev. Archdeacon
Paul Stephaniuk. Front: Mark Leon Machan, David Peter John Kelly, Erin Theresa
Catherine Sanders, Christopher Francis Simon Sanders, Matthew Eric Anderson, Nick
Joseph Courtney.
