THANKS
DEJONG. Thanks seems such a
small word to express our gratitude
for all the recent events held in our
honour. To the "older" 8th Liner
bunch for the lovely dinner at the
Fireside Cafe, all the guys at Huron
Tractor for the (oh what a surprise)
BBQ at our home, Joanne's family
BBQ at Eleanor and Randy
Babcock's and Pete's family BBQ
at Lia and Jack Snell's in Exeter
and at last but not least the
volleyball gang, baseball team and
so many neighbours and friends at
the BBQ at Ann and Ralph
deWeerd's. A special thanks goes
to those who hosted/planned these
events. The cards, gifts and well
wishers has overwhelmed us. We
will definitely miss you all but fond

DAVIDSON, Robert Scott "Jake".
At his residence in Port Elgin, on
Tuesday, June 2, 1998, in his 80th
year. Jake Davidson, husband of
Pat Davidson. Father of Margaret
"Maggie" Davidson, of Port Elgin.
Brother of Jean Robinson, of
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and
Gladys Lott, of Ottawa. Born and
raised in Brussels. He was the son
of the late Robert and Gertrude
Davidson. Survived also by many
nieces and nephews. He is
predeceased by one daughter,
Catherine Davidson, his brothers
Harvey, Charlie and George, and
his sisters Agnes and Ethel.
Memorial contributions to the,
Bruce Shrine Club in aid of
Crippled Children would be
appreciated as expres-sions of
sympathy. Port Elgin Lodge #429
A.F. & A.M. held a memorial
service in the funeral home on
Friday at 6:45 p.m. His ashes were
