This week it will be at Auburn United Church in charge of Margaret Brunkhart. The Preacher of Ecclesiastes will be the last book for the season. Dorothy Grange was in London on Friday to attend the graduation services for two of her grandchildren. Kristen Singh received her Masters and Kecia Singh received her B.Sc. All of The June meeting of Londesboro WI was held at the Hall on Monday evening, June 8. Members opened with the Opening Ode and Mary Stewart Collect. The minutes of the May meeting were read. The monthly euchre tournament was held at Londesboro Hall on Friday evening, June 12. There were 19 tables in play. Winners were: first, Ed and Carol with 84; second, Frank and Kay with 76; third, Ruth and Bill with Happy Gang Seniors are having a barbecue at the hall at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24. Names beginning with A to L are to bring Auburn are especially delighted to learn this. They are the children of Rod and Elizabeth Singh. Elizabeth grew up in this area. The Silver Tops meet for potluck dinner on Wednesday, June 17 at the home of Margaret and John Hildebrand. On June 21 the Holy Communion sacrament will be held at Knox United Church. Church Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, June 14 were Len and Betty Archambault. The sermon topic was "What a Deal!" The senior choir sang. of God's love. The children were called to the front. Today's mystery was on two bags of pennies, one with 50 pennies and one with only five. Rev. Ross explained that regardless of how much one owes both can be repaid and forgiven. There was no Sunday School so Rev. Ross gave them crayons, designed paper and a written quiz and told them to go to their seats and do these during the service. Rev. Ross continued with scripture from 1 Kings 21, concerning possession of two vineyards and continued with Luke 7 and 8. This was about debts again and of the woman who gave her time, tears and ointment for Christ. "What a deal!" was the sermon. It is important in life to follow God's word, Rev. Ross said.
