Church
Greeters at Londesboro United
Church on Sunday, June 14 were
Len and Betty Archambault.
The sermon topic was "What a
Deal!"
The senior choir sang.
of God's love.
The children were called to the
front. Today's mystery was on two
bags of pennies, one with 50
pennies and one with only five.
Rev. Ross explained that regardless
of how much one owes both can be
repaid and forgiven. There was no
Sunday School so Rev. Ross gave
them crayons, designed paper and a
written quiz and told them to go to
their seats and do these during the
service.
Rev. Ross continued with
scripture from 1 Kings 21,
concerning possession of two
vineyards and continued with Luke
7 and 8. This was about debts again
and of the woman who gave her
time, tears and ointment for Christ.
"What a deal!" was the sermon. It
is important in life to follow God's
word, Rev. Ross said. Debts must
be repaid, whether small or large.
"We all make mistakes but
regardless of size God always
forgives."
