elementary school-age children.
The Fall Colours Tours is also a
large draw.
Though organized programs are
offered only in the spring, fall and
winter, the centre is open year-
round for visitors to enjoy the
walking trails and river, says Buck.
It is through the support of the
foundation that the Nature Centre
has been able to continue operation.
The anniversary dinner and auc-
tion will provide an evening of
entertainment with live and silent
auctions, a grand prize raffle, door
prizes and balloon raffle, says MCF
Chair George Wicke.
Auction items may be viewed
during the cocktail hour, beginning
at 6 p.m. A string quartet will add
to the atmosphere.
Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Hoping for a very special event
for the anniversary, Wicke says the
foundation would like to improve
on the more than 280 who attended
last year.
"In the past, we have received
donations for the auction from all
over the watershed," he says. "The
support is absolutely tremendous. I
think people recognize the Nature
Centre as a real community
resource."
With over 175 articles donated
for auction last year, Wicke says
there is already some unique items
for this event.
The list includes a fishing char-
ter, Tammy Laye and Bill

after a body contact penalty was
called on Kemighan.
Kemighan was released from the
box, took the puck and scored.
However, the goal was disallowed
because Kernighan was released
early and still had 21 seconds to
serve.
Stepping from the box for the
second time, Kemighan again took
control and blasted the winner at
3:57.
The team captured the B champi-
onship.
Darcey Cook was named MVP

By popular demand, a brand new
"Fiddle and Step" show returns to
Wingham.
Loosen up those ties, relax ...

get those toes a tappin'. This fiddle
and dance party is happening at the
Wingham Town Hall Heritage
Theatre, Sunday, April 5 at 2 p.m.

The 2:00 p.m. show is sold out.
Reigning Canadian fiddle
champion, Scott Woods, who hails
from Fergus, will be one of the
special guests on this show. He will
be offering his fine fiddle tunes,
along with his novelty act ... and
maybe even some dancing thrown
in.
Tom Leadbeater is no stranger to
the Wingham Heritage Theatre
Stage. He has been part of the
"Spirit of Nova Scotia" show and
was also featured on last year's
"Maritime Magic".
Originally from Cape Breton

Plans for the future development
of Blyth were brought before Blyth
council, March 17, when Keith
Roulston and Brock Vodden pre-

betterment.
Along with Luanne Taylor and
Jeannette McNeil, Vodden and
Roulston have begun to develop a
framework for discussion to allow
businesspeople, politicians and res-
idents input into the future of the
community as a whole, not just the
village itself.
Roulston told council that with
