The Brussels Novices hit the ice
at home, Dec. 18, against Mt. For
est.
Cody Subject shot the puck over
the line at the seven-minute mark
of the first to open the scoring.

Though Tom Cronin, Wade
Stephenson aided Joel Wilkinson in
putting Brussels up by two the lead

Mt. Forest got into the game,
scoring two in the final minutes of

Girls taste
victory
The Wingham PeeWee Girls-
downed a visiting Kincardine squad
in exhibition play, Dec. 18.
Michelle Cook opened the scor
ing at 4:36 of the f st period on a
deflection off a Kincardine player.
Nicole Walker added to the score
early in the second with a shot
through a crowd of players that
found its way to the back of the net.
Kincardine narrowed the gap on a
nice shot from Dianne Thompson.
Cook responded seconds later on a
great pass from Danielle Good to
restore the two-goal lead
Brittany Campbell upped the lead
with a nice shot off a pass from
Sarah McDonald in the third peri
od. She then scored her second on
a scramble in front of the Kincar
dine net.
Coach Stewart congratulated the
team on a well-played game and
emphasized the importance of con
tinuing to concentrate on all around
team play.
Bantams win
A strong effort by several Blyth
Bantams players help take the team
to a 4-1 victory over Clinton Dec.

Blyth struck twice late in the first
to grab the lead they would never
relinquish. Neil Salverda scored at
5:04 and T.J. Marks put it between
the post at 4:47. Marks also earned
an assist on the Salverda netter.

The Stars slid by the Chiefs in
Blyth Industrial Hockey League
play this past week.
Scoring for the Stars were Mike
Haggitt (five) Jeff Ferguson and
Steve Bromley. The Chiefs Ian
Koetsier netted two, and Jeff Mac
Gregor added three.
The Bulldogs were handed a win
over Auburn due to a forfeit.
Bantams win big, lose big
It was a big victory away when
the Wingham Bantam Girls
trounced Drayton 9-2, Dec. 14.
Mia Bieman oft a pass from
Laura Meier and Nicole Procter,
with assists from Tabitha Lindsay
and Michelle Nixon put the team
on the board in the first.
Second period goals were scored
by Bieman, Meier, Candace Proc
tor, and Kerri Meier. Carly Quen-
nell and Nixon assisted on
