They had pencils, erasers and posters for sale as well. At the same time as the book fair CDCS had an open house and a hobby fair. Many students brought in their hobbies and displayed them on tables and on the stage. There were many Beanie Baby collections and one table was taken up by dinosaurs. Andrew De Koning brought in his big 3D puzzles (a Millennium Falcon and two Titanics). It was great to see a lot of parents visit the book and hobby fairs as well as the classrooms. Next week students are going to the Londesboro cross country meet. There is also a two-day teacher’s convention. Continued from page 16 process, we become dear to one another. It may be, that when it comes to your promised land, all I will ever experience and see is the view from here. But I stand here today full of hope. The good news of your prom ised land is that you are a loving and a fun-loving congregation. You have a great future. With God’s spirit guid ing you, these two characteristics will carry you a long long way, even through all the trials and tribulations that might come your way. And from my perspective, as a con gregation you were good news to me. You have taught me so much. You shared your love and your fun with me. You accepted me no matter what. In closing I would like to leave you with this paraphrase of Paul’s words, “So deeply do I care for you that I was determined to share with you not only the gospel of God but also my own self, because you have become very dear to me.”
