Council looks at proposal Continued from page 12 moved towards County Rd. 86 onto property purchased for commercial and recreational development. Discussions held by the complex committee, architects and engineers determined a move from the loca tion behind the south end plaza would reduce costs. Rather than having to construct pilings for the complex, the new site could be pre pared by the removal of a two- metre depth of peat and replaced with clean fill. At a special council meeting held Sept 9, council was given more detailed information about the move with a revised architect’s plan. The new proposal would leave 225 feet of frontage for future development and the number of trees cut would be minimized. A finalized plan was to be pre sented at the Sept 15 council meet ing. 4-H club practises judging Continued from page 2 press reporter. Everyone took turns reading about the care and choosing of a pet. Rachel showed her hamster. They also saw rabbits, a hedgehog and the family dog, Lupa, and some cats. The second meeting was held at Mrs. Mitchell’s. Everyone did the roll call on “pet food”. A dog food analysis bag was shown and how to keep track of food for a day. They practised judging and discussed the achievement program idea for Oct. 16. Everyone took turns reading "keeping our pets healthy".
