Victim Services to host forum in Seaforth
Victim Services Huron is hosting a
free one-day human trafficking
forum on Thursday, Oct. 3 geared
towards law enforcement and social
service providers, schools, hotel
establishments and the public. The
event will be held at the Seaforth
Community Centre, from 10 a.m. to
3 p.m.
Sponsored by the Human Services
& Justice Co-ordinating Committee
(HSJCC), this is the seventh
community education session on
human trafficking conducted within
Huron County in the past two years.
“Each session brings more insight
and updated information on trends,
recruitment style, and warning signs
to be aware of,” said Deborah
Logue, Executive Director, Victim
Services Huron. “This opportunity
will have individuals and family
members who have lived through an
experience speaking about the
challenges they faced to navigate the
system of support. This provides a
unique opportunity to learn about
the areas in which we need to
increase support and education to
community stakeholders.”
During this forum, participants
will become aware of what rural
recruitment looks like and how the
predator is successful, how to
recognize the signs and know how to
support a client, hear how a local
woman was sucked into the life and
how she got out and system
breakdowns that one family
struggled through to get help.

Spacious and gracious, with plenty of curb appeal, this three-bedroom family home contains all the

Exterior finishes include horizontal wood siding, painted pilasters flanking the veranda, partly mullioned
windows and decorative cross-bracing at the two gables, as well as stone accents.
This home measures 40 feet, four inches wide, by 53 feet, six inches deep, for a total of 1,719 square feet of
living space. The design includes an unfinished basement.
