Gerald and Isabel Gibson donated the trophy in 1981 to be awarded to a team with the highest score for the competition. It is a 'fun day' for the local club and their friends with a potluck supper between the second and third games. Each skip draws a name and that person will be his or her partner for the three games. The Gibsons won it the first year. They declined having their name on the trophy and gave it to the next highest team. Gerald has been trying to win it every year since and finally succeeded this year with his partner Scott Raven, a visitor from Airdrie, Alta. 3 wins 34.
