Big news
Santa's (Ben Procter) decision to take some time for himself and play hockey got things at
the North Pole a little behind schedule, prompting a news team, cameraman Sean Cook and
reporter Jesse Mullen, to interview him and find out what it was all about. "Slapshot Santa
Scores Again" was performed by the kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 classes at East
Wawanosh Public School Dec. 16. Other performances were "Christmas Around the World
by Grades 6 and 7, Coventry Carol and Santa Baby sung by Grade 8 and "Have a Joyous
Christmas" by Grades 3/4 and 4/5.
DEAR SANTA,
This year I have been pretty
good,
And I am trying something new!
I'm giving a little bit of me ...
And expecting less from You!
Santa I let Matt Shiell hold my
baby sister Judith because he
wanted to. My dad and I take turns
feeding the pigs. My steel shovel at
home, the comer is bent. It doesn't
scoop very good any more. My
sandbox needs to be made into
piles because it's getting stiff.
And if there's room inside your
sack,
And you are wondering about me,
I'd really like to see my own
baseball and mitt and a beast war,
Under my Christmas tree.

DEAR SANTA,
This year I have been pretty
good,
And I am trying something new!
I'm giving a little bit of me ...
And expecting less from You!
I play nice with my brother.
Sometimes I like to play out in the
snow and make snowmen. I like
when my mom and dad play with
me. I love you Santa. How's it
going Mrs. Claus? How's it going
with the reindeer Santa? I'll leave
some hot chocolate to warm you
up.
And if there's room inside your
sack,
And you are wondering about me,
I'd really like to see a big cement
truck and a furniture truck,
Under my Christmas tree.

DEAR SANTA,
How is Rudolph and Mrs. Claus?
Are you very busy? I hope not.
Here's what I would like for Christ
mas. 1. A remote control truck. 2.
Storm Trooper Puzzle. 3. Canadian
Tire Tractor trailer truck. 4. A car
with rechargeable batteries. 5. Nerf
gun (for fun!). 6. Magic Markers.
For my mom I would like a candy
cane. And I would like world
peace. Don't forget only candy in
my stocking please! Thank you
Santa. Even if you don't give me
everything, have a good Christmas!

DEAR SANTA,
I would like a Baby-go-bye-bye,
moon shoes and a chocolate maker.
Thanks for my Baby-all-Gone and I
forget what else. How many
presents have the elves made?
Please give me a game and a deck
of cards. That's what I would like,
please. If you can't get me all of
these toys, that's all right.
