He saw a tree and cut it down. Then he put the tree on the toboggan and pulled it home. He put the tree up. Upstairs, the alarm clock went off. His parents got up. They saw pine needles on the floor. Her mom said, "When you're older." One night when Stacy’s mom and dad were asleep, she snuck the lights, put on her snowsuit and went outside. She looked to see if they were all working. Stacy could not find a way to get up. Then Stacy had an idea. She found a ladder and put it up to the house. She clipped the lights on. It was fun. Suddenly her parents woke up. They saw something light. They went outside to see what it was. They saw Stacy up on the roof. They said, "How did you get up there?" I answered, "By a ladder." I said, "Surprise! Next can I pul up the Christmas tree?" Stacy Grade 3/4, Blyth P.S. ERIN’S CHRISTMAS SURPRISE Every Christmas Erin always asked, "Can I cut down the Christmas tree and decorate it?" But her parents always said, "No!" One night, when her parents were asleep, Erin got up and grabbed an axe. She went outside to cut down a Christmas tree. Erin found the perfect tree for her house. Then she brought it inside to decorate it. Erin put the tree up beside the fireplace, but then she noticed it was crooked. Erin got a chair from the kitchen and straightened the tree by pushing it over until it was straight. Then her parents woke up and noticed that there were pine needles on the floor. They followed the needles to see what was going on. When they got into the living room, Erin's parents saw the tree and jumped with surprise. Then Erin said, "Surprise! Mom, next year can I put up the outside lights?" Erin Grade 3/4, Blyth P.S. JOSH'S CHRISTMAS SURPRISE Every year, Josh asked, "Can I put the Christmas decorations on the tree?" When he was all done putting up the Christmas decorations, he noticed that he forgot to put the star on the tree. But he couldn't reach the top of the tree. Josh went and got the ladder and put the star on the tree. Just then, Josh's parents got up and said, "I wonder why there is tinsel on the floor and the big boxes are down?" Then they noticed the tree and said, "I thought we told you that you are too little to put up the decorations. But you did do a good job." Josh asked, "Next year can I cut the tree down?"
