CLASSIFIED MARKETPLACE "Advertise Across Ontario or Across the Country" Knox Presbyterian Church of Belgrave celebrated its 133rd anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. with a good attendance. Guest minister was Rev. John Neilson. His sermon was "Right for the Part". Special music was by Deb Siertsema and Darlene Van der Veen. They sang White as Snow and How I Love You Lord. A social time followed at the Women's Institute Hall. An organ-piano prelude of inspiring sacred music, presented by Mrs. George Procter, organist, and Mrs. Steven Robinson, pianist, welcomed members of Knox United and Calvin-Brick and visitors to Knox United Church on Sunday, Sept. 21, for its anniversary service. Greeting worshippers was the Potter family. The sanctuary was tastefully decorated with autumn flowers by Wilma Scott, Margaret Walsh, Mary Hunter and Melanie Pletch. Rev. Mary Jane Hobden, minister of the charge, extended a warm welcome to visiting friends including Bonnie Holliday, who was guest speaker for the service. Bonnie is a member of Letterbreen United Church, north of Mount Forest, where she is choir leader and an active member of the UCW. She is also active at Presbytery, Conference and on the Division of Communication. This August she was a commissioner to General Council in Alberta. She has two children, Scott, 14 and Heather, nine. Most know her from her part time work as the host of "Voices of Midwestern Ontario" on CKNX Radio. She based the remarks for her sermon "Moving Into a Different Time" on scripture passages from the New Testament, 2 Corinthians 4: 16-18, (59) 1-9. Hymns sung by the congregation included Jesus Loves Even Me, Giant Is Thy Faithfulness and Take the Name of Jesus. The large choir of mixed voices, accompanied by Mrs. Procter at the piano, favoured with the anthem Laudamus by Danielle Sleeth. Steven Nixon and Tony Chaffe ushered the members and guests to their pews. They also assisted by acting as offertory stewards along with Becky Logan and Joyce Vincent. Following the "Call to Worship" and Prayer of Approach by Rev. Hobden, the children gathered in the central front pews. Bonnie spoke to them relating to anniversaries. She asked questions about kinds of anniversaries and what kind of gifts you would buy. She emphasized her meaning by asking "What can you give to the church?" Using a mirror to let each child view their image, she again queried "What can you give?" and received the response "Myself1.
