I have found my community to be a close-knit group of individuals, friends, family and neighbours, who know how to pull together when there is a time of need. We all hoped and prayed for a cure for Gary's dreadful brain tumor. Life does seem so unfair. Gary was ill since October, 1996 and for the last two months he was completely bedridden. Dying at home around his family was his last wish. I am so very grateful to all the individuals who offered us support in any way. Over the last year our home life changed drastically. People supported and comforted us immensely. Meals, baked goods, lawn and garden care workers, IGA certificates, boxes of groceries, donations (guys night out), and friendship all came into our home. What an immeasurable support system. I do apologize if I missed anything or anyone with my thank yous. Everyone was so very important to us. Gary will be sadly missed but dearly remembered by a great number of people. Also, thank you to those who attended Gary's memorial service, gave memorial donations, sent floral arrangements, gifts, cards and food to our home at the lime of his death. I will treasure all your acts of kindness and friendships forever. - Marlene Richmond. 37-1 e MARKS. A special thanks to Dr. Ping, nurses and staff of Wingham and District Hospital. I would like to thank those who sent flowers, cards and came to see me during my stay. Sincerely - Isabel Marks. 37-lp NOLAN.
