Walton's Early Years students are
now working on their five senses.
Hearing, was the sense at that they
studied this week. By doing a
special listening activity where they
matched sounds, they tested their
listening skills. The letter 'H' was
the letter that they worked on as
well.
The Grade Is are finishing their
measuring unit and their amaryllis
stories. They are now working on
recording ideas in story form and
when they have five ideas recorded
(five sentence stories), they can
publish them. Some of the titles so
far are, "My Dog", "I Love You,
Mom", "The Wolf", "The Little
Chick".
The class is really excited about
being the next room to be moved
down to the gym so that their room
can be painted.
Mrs. Vivian's Grade 2/3s are now
moved back into their newly-
painted (Hawthom/Sapling colour)
classroom. I'm sure that the colour
will truly inspire the children to do
great work.
Mrs. Vandendool's class is now
in the gym as their room is being
painted Hawthorn and Riviera
Green, which will create a great
atmosphere for working on their
mystery stories. So far they have
written such stories as, "The Case
of the Unexpected Robberies",
"The Case of the Missing Horses"
and "The Case of the Missing
Teacher".
