Huron-Perth District Health Council. Their
study recommendations call for C.PH. to be
downgraded to a small outpatient
facility/clinic only or even closed completely.

The November meeting of the
Londesboro UCW was held at the
church on Monday evening, Nov.
18 at 8 p.m. It opened with the
UCW Purpose.
The worship service was
conducted by Margaret Good and
Cheryl Trawartha. Members sang
Let There be Peace on Earth.
Margaret gave a reading on peace.
Cheryl led in prayer.
Helen read the minutes of the
October meeting. The minutes of
the executive meeting were read.
Donations were given to several
groups. Reta gave the financial
report.
Ushers at Londesboro United
Church on Sunday, Nov. 24 were
Traci Radford and Erica
Horbanuik. The junior choir sang.
Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee and
Swing Low Sweet Chariot. The
sermon topic was "It's not our
problem."
The session and committee of
stewards will meet on Tuesday,
Missy Engel and Melissa
Grisdale, members of the Seaforth
Girls' Band, have participated in
Santa Claus parades in London,
Toronto, Clinton and Goderich.
Next Friday they will be at the
Seaforth Santa Cam Parade which
starts at 7 p.m. Keep up the good
work, girls.
John and Nancy Vanass
celebrated their 25th wedding
anniversary on Nov. 20.

The Hall Board hosted eight
euchre tables last Friday.
Winners were: high lady, Jean
Thedorf; high man, Gordon

benediction. Lunch was served by
Reta Kelland, Gail Lear and Liz
Lawson.

White Gift service is next
Sunday. A potluck lunch will
follow. Bring sandwiches and

Cheerios
gather at
Fothergill's
The November meeting of the
Cheerio Club was held on
Wednesday, Nov. 20. There was
lunch at the Hillcrest Restaurant,
before members proceeded to the
home of June Fothergill. She
welcomed everyone and read a
poem on November Days.
Roll call was answered by five
members. Collection and draw
money were take up. Edythe gave
the treasurer's report. Minutes of
the October meeting were read. The
draw, donated by Beth, was won by
Geraldine Dale. June read a poem
on Friendship. Cards were played.
The Christmas meeting is
Wednesday; Dec. 18 at Audrey
Thompson's. It is a $5 gift
exchange.

The Seniors Christmas dinner is
at the hall at 12:30 p.m. on Wed-
nesday Nov. 27. Bring something
for the food bank.
Honoured
A posthumous honour was bestowed on the founders of
the Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion with this plaque at
the Blyth Community Centre trophy case on Friday night.
Past President Jeff Thomson paid tribute to the men who
met in May 1962 for the first meeting of what was the
beginning of the organization. They were: Harold Turner,
Alec Manning, Hugh Chisholm, Robert Beatty, Stuart
Muir, John Scott, Dan , John, Dennis, Billy Joe and Simon
