A few to feed many
Making gravy for a thousand was the task at hand for Nancy Michie, Bill Coultes and
Nancy's daughter Lindsay last Wednesday night. While the Belgrave arena was the hot spot
for the turkey carvers, the job of stirring the gravy was at the Women's Institute Hall. The
food was being prepared for the mammoth Belgrave Turkey Supper, an annual event that
attracts well over a thousand people.

Siertsema led in prayer, then gave
the secretary's report. Ivy Cloakey
gave the financial report.
Thirty-eight sick and shut-in
visits were recorded.

Sandra Jane Marks, daughter of
David and Alice Marks and Dan-el
John Weber, son of Earl and Joyce
Weber, were united in marriage on
July 20, 1996 at St. Ambrose
Catholic Church, Brussels.
Matrons of honour were Rose
Kellington and Susan Hendsbee,
and bridesmaids were Trisha
Marston, Christine Fischer, Tracey
The effort by Carol McDonnell, a
teacher at Sacred Heart School,
Wingham, has earned the school an
arboretum, sponsored by the Yves
Rocher Foundation.
Sacred Heart will have 21 native
trees and 117 bushes planted at the
back of school property through a
joint effort of staff, students and the

time was enjoyed.

Brussels, the couple honeymooned
in the Poconos. They now reside in

which was a Thanksgiving service.
Olive Bolt was in charge of Bible
Study. She continued on with the
study of Matthew 12: 1-8 entitled,
"Breaking the Sabbath".
Audrey Fenton conducted the
study. She chose an article from
Mandate. It was enlightening and
provoked a good discussion. The
Lord's Prayer in unison, closed the
meeting.
