We have been having very busy
and interesting times at Grey
Central these past two weeks. The
students, teachers and parents have
been very much involved in school
endeavours.
— Grey Central Student Council
Last week we heard from the
nominees for positions on the
Student Council. They each gave a
short speech trying to encourage
the students to vote for them and
their ideas.
At noon the voting occurred. Our
slate of officers for this school year
is: president, Marc Fischer; vice
president, Sara Brubacher;
treasurer, Amanda Cummings;
secretary, Christie Snider.
Marc is pleased that so many
students put their faith in him to
lead the Student Council this year.
He is planning many exciting and
interesting events over the next
months. As well as the usual
dances to gain funds for the Student
Council, he says he plans some
special days such as a "Wacky Hair
Day".
Other fundraisers might be
special events such as a "Kiss the
Pig Contest" or getting- the teachers
to sing the Sharon, Lois and Bram
theme tune!
Younger students will be
involved in special events also such
as at Halloween.
It sounds like it will be great
year, Marc.
