It looks like it might be a rough landing, but Sarah
Brubacher of Grey Central Public School came down feet
first in her standing long jump attempt. Waiting patiently
for their turn are, from left, Samantha Beirnes, Terri-Anne
Tully and Melissa Curtis. The school's track and field day
was held May 23.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the
Wingham and District Hospital Corporation will be held in
the Nursing Assistants' Training Centre, Catherine St.,
Wingham, Ontario on Thursday, June 20, 1996 at the hour
of eight o'clock p.m. for the revision of bylaws; for the
election of Governors; for the appointment of Auditors;
and for the transaction of such other things as may
properly come before the meeting.
Copies of the Annual Report and Hospital Financial
Statements may be obtained at the front desk of the
Wingham and District Hospital effective June 12, 1996 and
at the Annual Meeting.
Memberships granting voting privileges may be
purchased at the front desk of the hospital for five dollars
($5.00) prior to five o'clock p.m., Wednesday, June 5,
1996. No membership sold, after that time will entitle the
purchaser to a vote.

Sew Easy
On Tuesday, May 21, the foursi
meeting of Cranbrook's Scw Easy,
was held.
The meeting began with the 4-H
pledge, then members proceeded to
talk about seams and seam finishes,
and where different types of these
should be used. They were given a
demonstration of the flat-felled
seam, and the french seam.
Next, they talked about darts;
what they are, and where they're
used. Then we were shown the
different ways to mark a dart, and
to sew a dart.
After all the demonstrating was
finished, they moved on to their
projects.
The meeting closed with the
motto.
Unbelted passengers are: five times
more likely to be killed. four times
more likely to be hospitalized than
are belted passengers.
Huron/Perth Injury Prevention Committee
Alvin McLellan hosted 14 tables
of euchre at Ethel Hall, Monday
evening. Winners were: 50/50,
Charlie Harrison; high lady,
Isabelle Gray, 82; high man, Jim
Smith, 85; most lone hands Jim
McGuillawee, six, and Isabelle
Bremner, four. Allan Edgar had the
birthday closest to May 20.
