first place in the round robin.
In the next round, they met a
strong team from Chesley. In their
fourth game in three days, the boys
lost a tough 4-1 game.
Coach Adam Krotz said they had
been met by strong goaltending and
bad luck, having hit the goal posts
four times. He commended his
team for a solid effort through the
weekend. Due to the bad weather,
the consolation game they were to
play was postponed until next
Saturday at 2:15.
Walkerton came to town on
Sunday and took an early second
period lead before Campbell scored
from Tim Robinson, Koch broke
the tie with his second goal of the
year unassisted. Wingham jumped
out into a two goal lead as Mullin
took a pass from Garrett Skinn and
Himmehnan.
The teams played evenly until the
end of the third when Walkerton
got close with 1:10 remaining.
The pressure was on, but
Wingham didn't give another
chance as Himmelman scored with
32 seconds left, from Campbell and
