W. LLOYD BARTH
W. Lloyd Barth of Goderich and
formerly of Blyth, died at Maitland
Manor Health Care Centre,
Goderich on Sunday, Nov. 26,
1995, in his 87th year.
He was the beloved husband of
Aimee (Jantzi) Barth and dear
father of June Sommers of Toronto;
Faye Barth and her fiance Dan
Riehl of Goderich; Trevor Barth
and his wife Sherry of Kirkton. He
was loving grandfather of Larry
Sommers and his wife Cindy,
Andrew Sommers, April Marie and
Johnathon Lloyd Barth and great-
grandfather of Caitlin and Wesley
Sommers. He was brother of Cecil
and his wife Dorothy of Glen
William.
He was predeceased by his first
wife Kathleen Merritt, two
brothers, Gordon and Stanley.
On Wednesday, November 29,
1995, Lloyds farewell service was
held in the "Little Brown Church in
the Vale" in the Westfield area
which he attended while living at
RR 3, Blyth. Pastor James Came of
the Auburn Missionary Church
officiated. Captain Hustler and
Captain Archer of the Goderich
Corps of the Salvation Army also
took part in the service. Don and
Mary Vair provided the music
throughout the service. Mrs. David
Rolston of Auburn sang a very
favourite solo I Shall Know Him.
Don Vair paid a very special tribute
to the celebration of Lloyd's life.
June Sommers and Faye Barth gave
very tender eulogies.
Serving as pallbearers were
grandsons Larry Sommers, Andrew
Sommers, both of Toronto; a
former friend and neighbour,
Donald Schultz; and three of his
former students Murray Cowling of
Scarborough, Ian Atkinson of
Waterloo and Irvine Teeter of
Dashwood.

ARCHIE JACKLIN
Archie Jacklin of RR 2, Bluevale
passed away suddenly at Listowel
Memorial Hospital on Monday,
Dec. 4, 1995 in his 74th year.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Doris Hall; his children,
Barryf and wife Carol Jacklin, RR 2,
Bluevale, Keith Jacklin at home,
Gloria and husband Wayne
Bowman and Ruth Farrish of
Listowel; seven grandchildren,
Barry and his wife Laura Jacklin,
Wayne Jacklin, Tammy and Brad
Wright, Trevor and Carrie Jacklin,
Charlotte and Virginia Bowman,
Michael and Janey Farrish and one
great-grandson, Brody Wright.
Also surviving are two brothers,
Lloyd and his wife Twyla Jacklin
of Molesworth and Glen and his
wife Mona Jacklin of Goderich as
well as five sisters, Evelyn and
husband Weldon Nichol of RR 2,
Listowel, Marj and husband Stan
Bray of Seaforth, Della Hood of
Listowel, Myrtle Jacklin of
Brussels and Sharon Grube of
Mildmay. Brothers and sisters-in-
law, Gordon and his wife Lorraine
Hall of Manitoba, Elmer and his
wife Eileen Hall and Wilbert and
his wife Marlene Hall all of
Trowbridge, Mervin Hall of Ethel,
Mildred Schnock of Listowel,
Marie and Stan Willfong of RR 1,
Listowel, and Edith and Charlie
Stevenson of RR 1, Ethel, and
Evelyn Hall of Listowel.
Visitation was at the Peebles
Funeral Wome, Atwood on
Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 2 - 4 and
7 - 9. Service and committal were
held on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m.
Interment was at Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery, Ethel. Rev. Cam
McMillan of Brussels officiated.

LOIS EVONNE WHITTARD
Lois Evonne Whittard of Brus-
sels passed away on Monday, Dec.
4, 1995 at Wingham and District
Hospital in her 67th year.
She was the beloved wife of For-
rest Whittard and the loving mother
of Frederick and Sharon Whittard
of Carlton Place, Kenneth Whittard
of Toronto and Bonnie Whittard of
London.
Mrs. Whittard was predeceased
by two grandchildren Colin and
Brandon.
She was the dear sister of the late
Jack Dodds (1994).
Rev. Nancy Beale officiated at
the service which was held Dec. 6,
at St. John's Anglican Church.
Brussels.
Spring interment will be at Brus-
sels Cemetery.
Ralph Watson, George Wheeler,
George Somers, Bill Moses,
Chester Higgins and Mark Gropp
acted as pallbearers.

MARION KATHERINE
SCHNEIDER
Marion Katherine Schneider of
Mildmay passed away at County of
Bruce General Hospital on
Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1995. She was 83.
The former Marion Ott, was the
beloved wife of George Schneider
of Brucelea Haven. She was the
dear mother of Jim and his wife
Dorothy of Auburn, Anna and her
husband Omer Robichaud of New
Brunswick, Eileen and her husband
Jim Schiestel of Teeswater, Ruth
and her husband Ellis Woods of
Kitchener, Wendy and her husband
Steve Noble of British Columbia,
Bob and his wife Sheala of British
Columbia and Kathy and her
husband Barrie McLean of
Teeswater.
She was the loving grandmother
of 16 grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchi ldren.
Mrs. Schneider was predeceased
by her brother, Alvin Ott and her
sister, Beatrice Mehring. She is
fondly remembered by many nieces
and nephews.
Friends paid their respects at the
Greg Roberts Funeral Home,
Mildmay on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
Funeral services were conducted
by Rev. Neil Thomsen in St.
Matthew's Lutheran Church,
Mildmay on Thursday, Dec. 7 at
2 p.m.
Interment will be at St.
Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery,
Mildmay.
Donations may be made to the
Heart & Stroke Foundation.
JANE (JEAN) SMITH
Jane (Jean) Smith of RR 4,
Brussels, passed away on Sunday,
Dec. 10, 1995 at the Seaforth
Community Hospital.
She was the dear sister of the late
Douglas Smith (1956) and loving
aunt of six nephews. She was a
dear friend of Hugh and Carmen
Ives, Jean and Donald Ives and
Michael and Jerry Klaus. Visitation
was held at Betts Funeral Home,
Brussels from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9
Tuesday, Dec. 12. The funeral
service is at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
Dec. 13 from the funeral home.
Rev. Nancy Beale will officiate at
the service. Interment will be in
Brussels Cemetery in the spring.
In remembrance of Jean

Stroke Foundation would be
appreciated by the family.
ANNE ISABEL SCOTT
Anne Isobel Scott passed away at
Huronlea, Brussels, on Tuesday,
Dec. 5, 1995. She was 81.
Miss Scott was the beloved
daughter of the late Robert and
Charlotte (McBumey) Scott and the
dear aunt of Barry Scott of Water-
loo.
She was predeceased by her sis-
ter Mary Ireland and her brothers
Hugh, Lorne and Robert.
Rev. J. Rea Grant officiated at
the services from McBurney Funer-
al Home, Wingham, on Dec. 8.
Spring interment will take place
at Wingham Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Huronlea,
Brussels would be appreciated as
