Thank you for asking! Did you know that close to
9 out of 10 homes in southwestern Ontario with access to
natural gas are heated with natural gas?
Natural gas "leaks" are rare, and are usually caused by
disturbances to the outside line during renovations or construction.
There's an easy way to make sure you stay away from underground
lines...call us before you dig for our free locate service!
Here Are The Facts:
Natural gas is actually lighter than air, so that ignition or combustion is
unlikely. Should a leak occur, it will usually dissipate quickly into the air.
Gas leaks are rare, but if one should occur, you can immediately
detect it because a harmless scent is added to assist in the detection of
leaks. If you smell gas, call us and we will come to inspect your
home or business immediately.
All natural gas equipment is certified to meet national standards for
safety and performance. Installing a state-of-the-art, high-efficiency natural
gas furnace can ensure years of total home comfort, economy and safety.
