Hi Everybody! On August 31
I'll be celebrating my 6th
Birthday. I've been a busy
girl this summer with
swimming, baseball and
Bible School. I'm having two
parties this year. Yesterday
(Tuesday) I went bowling in
Goderich with some of my
friends and on Thursday I am
having a "Barbie" birthday
with my family. I'm one lucky
girl.
See you next year!
Love, Kendall Whitfield

Savour summer harvest
at Ontario Ag. Museum E ntertainment
Making music
The popular Rankin Family made a stop in Blyth last Thursday evening, performing to a
packed house at the Community Centre. The east coast musicians are currently promoting
their newest CD.
The Ontario Agricultural
Museum comes alive as Ontario's
bountiful harvest is salted, smoked
and pickled during Harvest
Celebration, Sept. 2 to 4.
The aromas of preserving fill the
air as costumed interpreters bring
practices of the past to life.
Smoking and salting meat, sausage
making, cider pressing, pickling
and jam making provide food for
winter months ahead. Children's
activities, wagon rides, farm
animals, flax processing and more
make a visit to the Ontario
Agricultural Museum an enjoyable
one for the whole family.
Highlights of this year's Harvest
Celebration take place on Sunday,
Sept. 3. A mini farmers' market
gives visitors the chance to take
home some of Ontario's finest
honey, fruits and vegetables, herbs,
and unique country crafts.
To reach the Ontario Agricultural
Museum take Highway 401, exit
Guelph Line or Highway 25 north
and follow the signs. The Museum
is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until
Sept. 24.
