Brussels Country Inn
offers elegant rooms, food and great entertainment
For those planning a special visit to
Brussels or for the traveller passing
through North Huron's "prettiest
village", the Brussels Country Inn offers
guests completely refurbished rooms
and suites, quality meals and a bar with
weekend entertainment.
Helga and Joe Springer, who pur-
chased the business in the spring of
1992, were intent on creating an
atmosphere which would be comfortable
for everyone.
First on their list of renovations was
the complete gutting of the second floor
quarters and construction of rooms and
suites.
The guest rooms were tastefully-
furnished with pine furniture, floral
bedspreads and a touch of uniqueness in
each.
Each room has a washroom ensuite,
telephone and cable with a continental
breakfast available.
On the main floor of The Inn, two
dining rooms were redecorated to
Helga's and Joe's taste.
Featuring succulent European dishes
with a flair for the German entres, the
menu offers everything from an eight
ounce New York strip loin steak to
jumbo fantail shrimp and Jaeger
schnitzel.
For those who can't quite decide
which of the delicious menu
selection to choose, a buffet is laid
out Fridays at lunch and Sunday
evenings.
Another specialty featured on
Sundays is the 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
brunch. Amongst the numerous
choices of both breakfast and lunch
items are homemade breads and
crepes.
The comfortable yet elegant
setting of The Country
Inn's dining room is
also available for small
wedding and rehearsal
dinners.
Live country bands,
DJs or local voices
singing to the karoke
greets guest as they
enter the bar and lounge
which is situated at the
rear of the main floor.
A large screen television provides the
avid sports fan with the big picture of
the pennant race or battle for the cup.
Helga and Joe try to go out of their
way to please their customers.
"It is a country inn which Invites,
everyone from youth to seniors, says
Helga. It is place were everyone is
welcome.
