As a fanner involved in the graz-
ing of animals, have you ever won-
dered how another operation works
or if someone else has tips for
greater success?
These are just a couple of the
questions which could be answered
at the first pasture walking tour set
for the Tim Prior farm, just east of
Brussels on Cty. Rd. 16, on
Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.
In helping to organize the Gra-
ziers Network in Western Ontario,
Prior says the objective of the
groups is to give farmers the oppor-
tunity to walk through different
grazing operations, learn from
other graziers regarding manage-
ment, network for the exchange of
ideas and educate each other.
The group also hopes to produc-
ing a graziers' newsletter.
The informal gathering will
allow farmers with grassroots expe-
rience-those with their hands in the
dirt-to discuss concepts of pasture
management, controlled grazing
and water systems (among many
other issues) says Prior.

The ended the afternoon with a
barbecue, which was enjoyed by
everyone, thanks to the hosts.
