Seaforth has a lot to boast about — one
of the finest examples of Victorian
streetscapes, being the hometown of
Olympic bronze medalist Lloyd Eisler and a
small town community atmosphere that
supports many special annual events, such
as a community yard sale, the fall fair and
ciderfest.
This year, however, Seaforth has
something else to celebrate — Homecoming
1995. The weekend of Aug. 3-6 will see
present and former residents gathering back
in Seaforth for a summertime celebration.
This isn't the first time the town has
hosted an event like this one. In 1955 and
1968 the Old Boys Reunions swelled the
population to this town of 2,300, as people
lined the streets to see parades and enjoy
street dances.
Bill Pinder was the inspiration behind the
plans for a homecoming celebration and
three years ago was charged with overseeing

pavement as the craft heads for home.
If you've never had the experience of
flying in a small two-seat airplane, it is one
which should not be missed.

a committee set up to plan the upcoming
event. Unfortunately, Pinder did not have a
chance to see the fulfillment of this
ambition; in November of 1993 he was
diagnosed with cancer. He passed away the
following February.
New committee co-chairs Joe Steffler
and Carol Ann Doig say this homecoming is
a tribute to him.
This year's reunion promises to be even
more exciting then the previous ones with
