Ready for a campout
Members of the Blyth Beavers and Cubs prepared to travel to Toronto's SkyDome for a huge
campout with Cubs from across the province. The adventure took place on Nov. 26 and 27.

Seniors celebrate season

Seniors sat down to a delicious
Christmas dinner in the Memorial
Hall on Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m.
The Blyth Legion Ladies
Auxiliary catered for the dinner and
very generously donated all the
door prizes and random draw
prizes.
After the dinner Harvey
McDowell and Vera Badley
conducted a Christmas sing-song
with Phyllis Boak at the piano.
Graeme McDowell was the only
one with a November birthday.
Jean Plaetzer and Elaine and
Edythe Snell will celebrate theirs in
December.
Marie and Aubrey Toll's wedding
anniversary is December as well.
President John Hesselwood kept
all entertained with his good jokes
and poems. Harv McDowell
favoured with several Christmas
songs on his violin with Phyllis at
the piano. She then entertained with
a piano solo A Child Is Born.

Sunday, Nov. 27. The seasonal
colour is purple.
Greeters were Bill and Brenda
Burkholder. Ushers were Les and
Evelyn Caldwell and family.
Phyllis Boak, director of music was
organist and Erica Clark, pianist.

parking of vehicles on
Village Streets is strictly
prohibited.
All vehicles must be
removed from Village
Streets, roadways and
parking lots of the
municipality between the
hours of 1:00 a.m. and 9:00
a.m. Violators will be
prosecuted or will be
required to bear the cost of
having their vehicle towed
away.
The owner of any such
parked vehicle will be liable
for any damage to the said
vehicle or to Village snow
removal equipment.
The depositing, blowing or
dumping of snow on Village
Streets, laneways or
sidewalks is strictly
prohibited. Cleanup
expense will be billed to
offenders.
