JUNIOR SOCCER
By Kristy Blair
The intramural soccer was really
great. All of the students from
Grades 4 to 6 that played had a lot
of fun. There were three teams -
The Fire Birds, The Falcons and
The Eagles.
All of the teams played
extremely well and they improved
in their skills.
After the Intramural soccer was
almost done there was a junior girls
and boys soccer tournament at the
Huron Centennial Public School.
The junior boys team placed fifth at
Huron Centennial playing very
well.
The girls junior soccer team
placed fourth and they too played
extremely well.
The girls junior soccer team
placed fourth and they too played
extremely well.
There were six teams that
entered. As a result, everyone had a
lol of fun.
INTERMEDIATE SOCCER
By Nathan Hubbard
We have soccer practices after
school on the chosen dates. We
have 21 people trying out; only 15
will make the team. We don't know
who will be cut yet, but we will
have a good team this year. I am
trying out for goalie and defence.
The tournament is on Tuesday,
Oct. 4. The tournament is held at
Huron Centennial. Grade 7 and 8s
thank Mrs. Battyc and Mr. Harrison
for taking the lime to coach the
teams and do intramurals.
THRESHERS
By Jamie Black
On Sept. 9 our class went up to
the Threshermen's Reunion. We
walked around and looked al the
exhibits. Most of the exhibits were
the same as last year's steam
engines, old tractors, antiques, and
more.
This year it seemed like there
were more campers and less
exhibits. The following Tuesday,
our class went and cleaned up the
fairgrounds.
TECH 21
By Greg Cullen
Mr. Martin, a high school
teacher, came last week to talk to
us about a new program called
Tech 21. The program sounds like
a lot of fun and hard work. I am
looking forward to going. I wish

GRADE 7

decided to split the Grade 7 class,
pulling seven students in Grade 8.
GRADE 7/8
By Christine Lapp
Last Friday Mr. Talbot's Grade
7/8s went to the bush behind Carey
Elliott's house. To start off the day
we walked back to the bush. Then
from 10 - 11:30 we set up our
camp, gathered wood and
completed the tree identification.
At 11:30 we started to make our
camp fires and cook our food. We
had a socializing time as well.
After lunch we did a stream
study until 2:30. At 2:30 we
cleaned up the sites and we
returned to the school by 3:30 to go
home on the bus.
OPEN HOUSE
There was an open house at the
Hullett Central Public School on
Wednesday, Sept. 21. There was a

school facilities. They also had a
chance to look at the book fair that
was at our school.
It was all a great success.
