Drama 4-H club set to begin

On Saturday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m.
the Drama 4-H Club will be
starting.
The meeting will be held at
Helen Lapp's house.
New members are welcome.
They must be 10 years old as of
January 1, 1994 in order to join.
We will be putting on a play for
our achievement and please
remember you don't have to know
how to act in order to join.

Wearable arts will also be starting
soon. Also contact Helen for more
information.
Rev. Paul Ross conducted the
service at Knox United Church and
Bernice Gross was organist.
The invitation to worship was
read alternately, followed by the
opening chorus Come Christians
Join to Sing.
A Litany of Confession was
read alternately. Hymn Saviour
Teach Me Day by Day was sung.
Rev. Ross had conversation with
the children on asking questions
and the children's chorus was sung.
The Scriptures were read
followed by hymn God Loves Me,
Too! Rev. Ross gave the prayers of
the people which was followed by
The Lord's Prayer in unison.
A Liturgy, for Re-Covenanting
Sunday and promises of the church
school teachers were followed by
Halle, Halle, Hallelujah. The
teachers came to the front for these
promises.
The offering was received by
Lillian Hallam and Nancy Park and
dedicated. The closing hymn was
Standing On the Promises.
Rev. Ross pronounced the
Benediction and the singing of
Amens concluded the service.

Get Well wishes go to Mrs.
Beth Lansing, who has been a
patient in Clinton Public Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Gamer spent
Labour Day weekend with Tom
and Ruth Jardin.
Congratulations to Mrs. Phyllis
Rodger, who celebrated her 80th
birthday last week.
Mrs. Vivian Pentland visited
with friends in Auburn last Sunday.
Knox United Church UCW will
be held Monday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m.
in the church basement.
WI set to resume Sept. 15
The Auburn Women's Institute
meeting will be held at the
Community Hall on Thursday,
Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.
It will be in the charge of Tena
and Gwen. Roll Call will be
"Bring a mystery article and
identify it". Lunch committee will
be Tena Empey, Kay Lapp and
Eppie Lawrence.
It will be nice to be back in
circulation again.
