The first baseman for the Walton team is Glenda Carter. The teams were taking part in a slo-pitch tournament held in Brussels on Sept. 10. WI members travel to Marden Last month on Aug. 20 two carloads of Walton Women's Institute members drove to Marden, Ont. for the official opening of the new Provincial Institute building. It was well attended by members from all over Ontario. Walton members were very proud to have Margaret Mclnroy as the guest soloist for the auspicious occasion. The next meeting will be held on Sept. 21, immediately following the monthly luncheon. Members should be present before 11 a.m. The luncheon is a roast beef one.
