Mr. Haslem built the dulcimer himself. step With another year's Thresher Reunion set to begin, Gladys Van Egmond and her committee have been hard at work preparing the entertainment, she says. Mrs. Van Egmond is in her ninth year as co-ordinator of entertainment and she says could never accomplish the ever growing amount of work without the help of others. This year she is assisted by Dave Chittick of Hanover who organized the events for the main stage, Bev. Hanson of Pt. Clark took care of arrangements for Shed 2 and Lois Hodgins of Crcditon looked after SJacd 1. Once again there is a wide variety of features available throughout the three day event and all ages should find something of interest. Though the reunion doesn't officially begin until Friday, there are jam sessions scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evening. The campers arc invited to meet in the Auditorium and Shed 2 on Wednesday, for an informal jam session. Thursday's jam will be held in Shed 1 and 2. The Calvin Cloggers of the Blyth-Walton- Winlhrop area will perform at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday in the Auditorium. A fiddle workshop will be conducted by Doug McNaughton of Stratford and participation will be by invitation only. Mrs. Van Egmond says, " This event has become very popular in recent years. Last year 40 people were invited to participate in the workshop and this year the list has grown to 50 plus." "Mr. McNaughton is a great leader. He is very good at explaining to each fiddler where they could improve, in a constructive manner," says Mrs. Van Egmond. Spectators are welcome to enjoy the session. Friday brings a day filled with enter­ tainment, says Mrs. Van Egmond.
