Fundraiser to aid CHuMs The Seaforth Agricultural Soci ety is hosting a fundraising break fast for CHuMS (Central Huron Mobility Service) on Sept. 18. Hensall has loaned a low floor bus to transport people to and from the breakfast, which is being held to raise money for the service. CHuMS co-ordinator Bev Brown says she has acquired from the Toronto Transit Commission, an old fare box from a 1920s street car. This will be placed on the bus for the trips. Plans for getting the service underway are progressing very well," says Ms Brown. "Things are really beginning to happen." A total of $25,000 is till needed, however, before the bus can be purchased. The concept behind CHuMS is to provide a mobility bus service to Central Huron County. In the future CHuMS will be doing a joint fundraiser with Wheels Away so that the services will be more accessible in the north and south of the county. Anyone wishing for a ride on the bus should contact Ms Brown at 482-5666. Cost of the breakfast is $4, adults, children under 10, $3 and preschoolers free.
