Daer steer tops sales at $100, average $96.76 Sales at Brussels Livestock for the week ending Sept. 2 were: fed cattle, 441; cows, 186; veal calves, 149; sheep and goats, 224; Stockers, 815; and pigs, light run. The market at Brussels Livestock saw top quality cattle selling fully steady with second cut $1 - $2 lower. Cows sold steady. There were 264 steers on offer selling from $88 to $94 to the high of $100. Five steers consigned by Gord Daer, Auburn, averaging 1,288 lbs. sold for an average of $96.76 with sales to $100. Twelve steers consigned by G. A. Stewart Farms, Ripley, averaging 1,289 lbs. sold for an average of $94.87 with sales to $97. Three steers consigned by Wayne Todd, Lucknow, averaging 1,373 lbs. sold for an average of $94.69 with sales to $95.25.
