The $157,000 grader, purchased with special funding, replaces the 1984 grader. They also called on her sister and brother-in-law Janet and Travis Koehler, Tamara and Derek. Travis and Janet Koehler, Tamara and Derek were supper guests at the home of Cameron and Alice Yuill, Camerra and Claren on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. John Davies, Chris and Shannon of Brussels were dinner guests on Sunday with Mrs. Ruth Johnston. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis of Owen Sound spent Thursday and Friday with Mrs. Mabel Wheeler. Mrs. Nancy McIntyre of Lucknow was a luncheon guest at the same home on Friday. Gordon and Louise Bosman attended a family and friends celebration in honour of Allan and and Barbara Bosman's 25th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Neil Elliott, Londesboro. Approximately 70 enjoyed a delicious roast pig barbecue. The couple was presented with a curio cabinet and a water fountain as well as many other gifts. Mrs. Doris Scott of Barrie spent last Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Alice Scott. Her daughter Miss Gwen Scott and her friend attended the play at Blyth and later visited at the same home. AuburnThe news from [Compiled by Mildred Lawlor Phone 528-7589 Rev. Ross tells youth about house of love Rev. Paul Ross led the service at Knox United Church and Nancy Park was organist. Rev. Ross gave words of welcome and the opening chorus was sung. Rev. Ross gave the prayers followed by the hymn To God Be The Glory. The children's story was about "House-of Love". The children's chorus was sung. Rev. Ross read the scripture, which was followed by the hymn The King of Love. Rev. Ross's message was "Does Jesus Care?" The offering was received by Greg Park and Bill Seers and dedicated. Rev. Ross gave the closing prayer and The Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison. Hymn Leaning On The Everlasting Arms was sung and Rev. Ross pronounced the Benediction. People Ruth and Tom Jardin attended the Rieck family picnic at Point Clark last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jardin visited in Auburn with Ruth and Tom Jardin on Saturday. Hospital Aux. greets J. Betts Members of the Auxiliary to Wingham and District Hospital welcomed new member Jean Betts to their recent June meeting. Guest speaker was Linda Kieffer, program co-ordinator of the RNA school. Mrs. Kieffer spoke on the changes which have come about with the closing of the 93 week hospital based RNA program. The new 48 week program beginning in September will now be run by Conestoga College. The program consisting of three semesters will be held in Wingham. An Ontario Secondary School diploma is required along with CPR and first aid courses. An Auxiliary ward will be presented with President Marlene Leedham in August to a graduating RNA with the highest marks. Mrs. Kieffer was thanked by Jo English. The new ECG donated by the Auxiliary was shown to members by Nancy Brown from the Lab Dept. The BCG costing $8,000 was bought with Auxiliary funds. The Auxiliary has also decided on automatic door openers for the Emergency Department as its next donation. Up and coming events include a Fall Tea to be held at the home of Margaret McLeod on Sept. 12. The Fall conference will take place in Goderich on Sept. 26. A tentative date for the Fall Rummage Sale is set for Oct. 20. Fall and winter items will be appreciated. Christmas balls with a picture of the hospital are now on sale at the gift shop. The next meeting will be held Sept. 19 with a pot luck luncheon at 1. The guest speaker will be Frances Tealero, President of Region 2. All members are welcome. Hurry in! Sale ends September 2, 1994.
