Blyth council to use infrastructure grant for lights Blyth council decided at the July 13 meeting to apply its remaining allotment of Canada-Ontario Infrastructure Works grant money towards the purchase and installa­ tion of more decorative lights in the village from Drummond St. to the bridge. The total amount is $38,600. Applications for $40,000 and $69,000 hav.e already been sent for a salt/sand storage and watermain work, respectively. , *** Motions were passed designating the Blyth Ladies Fastball Tourna­ ment for July 29, 30, and 31 and the Huron Pioneer Threshers and Hobby Association Reunion for Sept. 9, 10, 11 as community festi­ vals to allow for the obtaining of liquor licenses. ♦♦♦ With regards to driveway entrances on Hwy 4, council has developed a standard position for all affected residents. Three requests for council's sup­ ports to have special consideration given to their property during the reconstruction work have been received.
