HCBE briefs Board continues to review bus routes The Huron County Board of Edu­ cation agreed at the June 6 meeting to table any further discussions concerning the sharing of facilities at Central Huron Secondary School, Clinton until direction is received from the Huron-Perth Roman Catholic School Board.***** HCBE will form a partnership with Community Living and Cana­ da Employment in the 'School to Work Transition' program. This program tries to meet the growing demand for services for those with disabilities, to help obtain and maintain employment. Prov. gives for new school The Ontario government has approved funding for the Huron- Perth County Roman Catholic Separate School Board to build a new high school in the Clinton area, Paul Klopp, MPP for Huron, announced June 10. ”1 am pleased that the provincial government is helping the community to meet an important need for a school," said Mr. Klopp. "Good school facilities are part of our commitment to quality education." The province will provide $2,986,800 for the project. With the local school board's share of the cost, the total value of the project will be $4,000,000. Approval of the new school follows yesterday's announcement by Education and Training Minister Dave Cooke that the Ontario government will provide $620 million in capital funding for school boards through jobsOntario for the 1996-97 and 1997-98 fiscal years. The funding will support 176 projects throughout Ontario. These include 63 new schools as well as a number of major additions and renovations to existing schools, and construction of 43 child care centres in schools.
