With a new year upon us it is time to look forward to the coming months. As a Federation, we are keen to continue working for in the best interests of our members. There have been a few changes to the leadership for this coming year that you may or may not be aware of. John Rodger from the Bruce Peninsula has stepped into the role of president. In the roles of vice- presidents we have Heather Frook and John Gillespie. The executive for the year is rounded out with Executive Directors Robert Emerson, Les Nichols and Patrick Jilesen, along with the support of the remaining township directors who are Dennis Munro, Lorne Underwood, Joe Detzler, Chris Cossitt, Serena Lamont and Kristian Sol. All of us represent the farmers of Bruce County and are well-prepared for any issues that may need our attention. We will continue to work with all levels of government to discuss issues for the betterment of the farming community. Keeping our local youth involved in agriculture is always a topic we support as we look forward to hosting events and interacting with local schools. We would like to hear from you, with your ideas and suggestions. There is always room for more directors on the board, or volunteers at our events. If you are interested in becoming part of our organization please contact our office.
