NAOMI JEAN PRYCE
Naomi Jean Pryce passed away
peacefully at Huronview Home for
the Aged, Brussels, on Saturday,
Aug. 10, 2019. She was 92.
In her time among us Naomi may
have been small in stature, but the
love she offered her family was large
and generous. With gratitude, we
remember Naomi’s kind heart, her
caring ways and her warm and
loving smile. Naomi loved watching
the birds from the front porch of her
Winthrop home, or in later years at
Huronview. She will be lovingly
missed by all.
Naomi will be lovingly
remembered by her children Yvonne
and Harvey Hoggart, Murray and
Audrey Pryce, Brenda and Dave
Linton, Brian and Sharon Pryce,
Elizabeth Jenkin, Wayne and Julie
Pryce, Blaine Pryce and Kathy
McKellar and Lorrie and Keith
Cataford. Fond memories of a much
loved grandma remain with Naomi’s
28 grandchildren, 49 great-
grandchildren and three great-great-
grandchildren. Left to reminisce
days gone by are siblings and
siblings-in-law Edna Jenkins, Fred
and Hilda Martin, and many nieces
and nephews.
In faith, we trust that Naomi’s
spirit is reunited in eternal life with
her husband Harold Pryce (2012),
daughter-in-law Joanne Pryce, son-
in-law Gord Jenkin, great-
granddaughter Rebecca Kipfer
Pryce, her parents Clarence and
Margaret (née Mooney) Martin, and
siblings-in-law Floyd Jenkins, Elva
and Harold Bolger, Olive and Earl
Papple and Oliver and Thelma
Pryce.
Family and friends are invited to
visitation at McGlynn Family
Funeral Home, Seaforth on
Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 6-9 p.m.
A private family funeral service to
seek comfort in ways of faith and
honour Naomi’s life will be held.
Interment will take place in
Maitlandbank Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy,

Foundation, Ronald McDonald
House or St. Joseph’s Healthcare
Foundation (Parkwood Institute
Spinal Cord Research) would be

A. FRANKLIN CAMPBELL
A. Franklin Campbell passed
away peacefully at Victoria Hospital
after a brief illness, on Saturday,
Aug. 3, 2019. He was in his 87th
year.
Frank is the beloved husband of
Elaine Campbell (née Jefferson) for
56 years. Frank is survived by a
sister, Lois Snell of Swastika,
Ontario; brothers, Hugh (Orleana),
Ta Ta Creek, British Columbia and
Harold, Ottawa; brother-in-law, Don
(Marie) Jefferson, Clinton and
sister-in-law, Eilleen Jefferson,
Donnybrook. He is also missed by
numerous nieces, nephews and
grand-nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his
parents, Howard and Mary
Campbell; brothers, Victor, Cecil
and Lawrence; sisters-in-law, Joyce
and Bertie; brothers-in-law, Wesley
Jefferson and his sons Brian and
Barry, and Keith Snell; niece, Susan
Jefferson-Pursiainen and nephews,
Larry and Jaron Campbell.
Frank was a faithful member of
the Byron United Church and the
Byron Legion. He grew up in the
small hamlet of Westfield, and
worked for several years with the
CPR, but retired after working for 29
years for EMCO, in London.
Frank was an avid photographer
and loved to share his movies with
everyone. In later years, he travelled
the countryside in search of old
barns! He also enjoyed gardening
and collecting various memorabilia.
Frank will be remembered for his
dedication to the Parkwood Hospital
where he spent many volunteer
hours, as well as serving lunches at
the Byron Legion. He will be missed
on the Springbank Park bike path
where he spent countless hours on
his trusty bicycle.
A funeral service was conducted
at Westview Funeral Chapel,
London, on Thursday, Aug. 8.
Interment followed at Greenhill
Cemetery, Lucknow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in
memory of Frank to the London
Regional Cancer Program, Byron
United Church or the Byron-
Springbank Legion (Branch 533)
would be appreciated.

WILLIAM “BILL” PATTERSON
Mr. William “Bill” Patterson of
Blyth, passed away peacefully at
Clinton Public Hospital, on
Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019. He was in
his 88th year.
Bill was the beloved husband of
the late June (Bolger) Patterson and
the loving father of Cheryl
MacLeod, Goderich; Dale and Ron
Jamieson, Alberta; Deb and Casey
Verwey, Auburn; Rick and Darlene
Patterson, Dungannon; Heather and
John Verwey, Auburn and Audrey
Patterson and Murray Thompson,
Clinton. He was the stepfather of the
late Murray and Sue Bolger,
Vanastra; Karen and John
Greidanus, Clinton; Gary Bolger,
Varna; Glenda and Brad Duff,
Seaforth and Kim Bolger and Mike
Davy, Hamilton.
Bill will be sadly missed by 16
grandchildren, 29 great-grand-
children, 12 step-grandchildren and
six step-great-grandchildren. He was
the dear brother of Shirley Wood.
Bill was predeceased by brother
Ken Patterson and brother-in-law
Darrell Wood.
At Bill’s request, cremation has
taken place.
A graveside service will be
held at Ball’s Cemetery, Auburn
on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m.
followed by a celebration of life at
the Lions Park Pavilion, Blyth from
1-4 p.m.

HAZEL ELIZABETH JANE
McGONIGLE
Hazel Elizabeth Jane McGonigle
passed away unexpectedly,
surrounded by loved ones, at
Stratford General Hospital on
Monday, July 29, 2019. She was 96.
The legacy of memories she leaves
behind remind us of a loving, kind
and caring woman. Hazel’s smile
would light up a room. Her laugh
was infectious. Hazel loved
attending family gatherings. Joining
friends for a rousing game of cards
or bingo was always a time of fun
and laughter.
Hazel will be lovingly
remembered by her sister Marian
Andrews and her brother Stuart
Wilson and his wife Joyce.
Cherishing memories of a much
loved aunt are many nieces and
nephews and their families.
In faith, we trust that Hazel’s spirit
is reunited in eternal life with her
husband Roy (who predeceased her

Legion.

MEL KNOX
Mel Knox of Hullett Township,
passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4,
2019.
Mel was a farmer all his life, born
and raised in Hullett Township, the
son of Ernest Knox and Elizabeth
Shobbrook.
In 1970 he married the love of his
life Barbara Irwin and together
raised three children. He was the
proud father of Theresa and Steve
Reminisky, Melanie and Mike
McCowan and Chris and Amy
Knox. He was loving grandpa
of Brianna, Aidan and James
Knox and dear brother of Cindy
Knight.
Since the age of 14, Mel managed
the family dairy farm and acquired a
wealth of knowledge and expertise
in carpentry, welding, electricity,
plumbing and machinery repair.
After retirement and for the last 10
years, he put much of his time and
expertise into being volunteer
property manager at Camp
Menesetung.
A celebration of Mel’s life was
held at Londesboro United Church
Aug. 12. Rev. Paul Ross and Susan
McIlveen officiated. Funeral
arrangements entrusted to Falconer
Funeral Homes, Clinton. Memorial
donations would be gratefully
accepted to Camp Menesetung or
the charity of one’s choice.
