CH approves grants
The Brussels Burgundy co-ed
adult soccer team donated the
proceeds of its 2018 Halloween
Dance to the Brussels Minor Soccer
Club, Brussels Minor Baseball and
to the Optimist Club of Brussels for
community improvement.
This is the second year in a row
the members of the Brussels
Burgundy soccer team hosted a
Halloween dance with the goal of
supporting sports and recreation in
Brussels.
This year the team split a portion
of the proceeds ($1,000) between
the village’s minor soccer club and
minor baseball club, donating the
remaining $1,700 to the Optimist
Club with the intention that the
service club will funnel those funds
back into recreation causes, such as
the refurbishment of the Brussels,
Morris and Grey Community
Centre.
The third annual Halloween dance
to benefit minor sports is currently
being planned for Saturday, Oct. 26.
Tickets can be purchased from
members of the Brussels Burgundy
soccer team when they become
available.
More information on the dance
will be available on Facebook in the
coming weeks.
