The Christmas Lamb & Goat
Sale will be held Thursday, Dec. 16
at 1 p.m.
By Cheryl Lapp
The first meeting of the Home
for the Holidays 4-H group was
held Thursday, Nov. 25. The
officers were elected then members
made candy cane reindeer. They
also recycled old Christmas cards
by cutting out the pictures, adding
sparkles and using them as gift
tags.
After crafts, they discussed what
they were going to do for future
meetings and decided to meet the
next week with an idea for the club.
The second meeting was
Thursday, Dec. 2. They started out
hodge podging cans, then picked
the club name which is Auburn
Elves.
Later they did a word search and
unscrambled Christmas words
which were made up by youth
leader Suzanne Schultz. She also
told us about Christmas from other
parts of the world.
On Thursday, Dec. 9, the Auburn
elves met again. They chose the
title page done by Suzanne Schultz,
then discussed achievement night.
They also baked Christmas
goodies - cherry surprises and
nanaimo, which were "yummy".
Members worked on a word search
in their books, while some of the
others finished their crafts from
previous meetings.
They closed the meeting with the
4H motto.
