In the background Arnold, heaven's loudest angel (Paul Linton) was on the phone trying to talk God (John Uyl) into giving him his wings. The play continued with the four angels settling on their ladders and watched as Arnold tried to earn his wings. They first saw Noah (Trevor Gibbons) lead his group of bears, lizard, tigers — Crystal Gibbons, Cassandra Banks, Mark Wilbee, Andrew McDonald, Adam McClure, Jessica and Sarah Continued from page 8 practicing their number for the Christmas concert which will beheld on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at the school. Be a good environmental citizen by cutting down on the amount of wave you produce Longlade, Mandy Mitchell, Jimmy Durrell, Tina Smith, to the Ark. They all sang "Arky, Arky" and Shannon Gibbons read the verse. God wouldn't use Arnold because a flood was in order not an earthquake which would be the result of Arnold's voice. The angels watched as Abraham (Geoff Banks) and Isaac (Jeff Linton) came forward to make a sacrifice. The very willing Arnold was turned down once again for fear his voice would frighten even more the already sacred Isaac. The kids sang "Rock-a-my-Soul" and Trisha McClure read the verse. Then Jacob (Kenny McCallum) came and fell asleep, his head resting on a rock. God reminded Arnold of how hard it was for his fellow angels to nap whenever he talked. The kids sang "Jacob's Ladder" and Scott McDonald read the verse. When Isaiah (Robbie McClure) came to the temple to worship, Arnold saw his big chance to give GRADE SEVEN SCIENCE By Christine Lapp The Grade 7 students at Hullett Central School have been learning a lot about the body in Science class. They have learned the functions of the heart, respiratory system, mouth, nose, throat, brain, etc. They know what causes heart attacks and how to prevent from getting them. They know most of the parts of the body and their functions. the message but God pointed out how quiet a temple is to be. Darrell McClure read the verse. Moses (Mark Gillis) came on stage, removed his shoes and knelt before the burning bush. Arnold figured nothing could go wrong now, but, God was afraid he'd set the whole desert on fire. The kids sang "When Moses was in Egypt Land - Yo!" and Geoff Banks read the verse. At last Arnold saw his chance as Mary (Sarah McDonald) and Joseph (Kevin Wilbee) and baby Jesus came forward. In his loudest voice Arnold announced the good news of the Christ child. During the singing of the congregational hymn "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" a very happy Arnold received his wings, presented to him by angel Jennifer McClure. Later, in his conversation with God, Arnold told of his disappointment as he used his loudest voice and so many didn't hear. God told him everyone must try to hear and someday everyone will get the message. Michelle Kuntz read the last verse and the kids sang "Arnold Was an Angel". Phyllis Mitchell, Marion Godkin and Glenda Carter played while offering and white gifts were brought forward. The WI craft and bake sale was a success and hope to do it again next December.
