There are places which are noted because someone of honour has been there. Perhaps the innkeeper of Bethlehem was very upset with himself when the stable and manger became a notable place rather than his inn. He missed the opportunity to host the Son of God, said Pastor Carne. What about opportunities? Letters and cards had been received from Susan Gross and Carman Gross. Ruth McClinchey gave the treasurer's report and it was decided to send $25 to each of the following: Home Care, Town and Country Homemakers, Community Service and Alzheimer's. If you hear the gospel and don't act upon it you will miss out the opportunity to be saved. Just as Noah's ark is a symbol of refuge; one day reality will set in and we will learn that we missed the opportunity to accept Christ as Saviour, Pastor Came said. He said, there is the opportunity for service, which shouldn't be missed, when someone asks "Can you point me to the Saviour?" What a great privilege to lead someone to accept Christ as Saviour, said Pastor Came. The prayer should be, "Lord make me useable for you." Christ has saved us to serve and it will be worth it all when we get home. miscellaneous sale was held, which was quite successful. The meeting closed with a delicious lunch served by Martha Daer and Vera Penfound and a social time enjoyed.
