The Optimist Club of Blyth and
District is now in its fourth year of
operation. The objective of the club
and the whole Optimist
International organization is to be a
Friend of Youth.
Blyth Optimists have arranged
and sponsored many activities for
youngsters this year, including a
babysitting course, a bicycle rodeo,
and a Halloween party. The costs
are covered by Optimist
fundraising projects.
Blyth Optimists are supporting
the Huron County Christmas
Bureau, which is sponsored by the
Children's Aid Society of Huron
County. Residents of Blyth can
leave donations of food, clothing,
toys, or money at Radford's Auto,
Farm and Industrial Ltd. or at the

17. Optimist Pat Brigham, who is
spearheading the Optimists' efforts,
will arrange for all the donations to

collection depots will be well
supported.
Income tax receipts will be
issued for all monetary donations to
the Children's Aid Society of

selections, with the congregation
joining in with the songs, "As the

the Lord".
Gary and Mary Schultz, along

His sermon was entitled, "The
Sudden Awakening". His message
was taken from Luke 21: 25-36. He
focused on verse 34. Rev. DeRuiter
